To achieve Hilary Duff’s hair color, first carefully identify your client’s current level, percentage of grey and hair condition. Note: You may need to alter this formula slightly for your specific client. Call 888-213-4744 for formulation assistance.

Natural level: 7

Depending on your starting level, the hair will have to be lifted to a very pale blonde in order to get Hilary’s dusty lavender look. If the hair is damaged or in poor condition, consider a protein treatment prior to service – we recommend using HRestore, our favorite vegetable protein porosity balancing spray.

Pre-Lighten all over with: Oway Ammonia-Free Hbleach + 30vol (mixed 1:2)

After processing, rinse and shampoo with Organic Way Hbalance Shampoo. Identify if there needs to be another lightening process. Most yellow should be removed from the hair. If not, treat hair with Oway Hmilk No Stress – this will prepare the hair for your toner formula.

Toner Formula: 11.17 + .7 Violet Tone Booster (only 3% of your formula) mixed with Htone (9vol) in a 1 to 1.5.

Visually watch toner at bowl and remove when desired color appears on the hair. Shampoo with Organic Way Hbalance Shampoo and condition with Organic Way Hbalance Mask. The pH of these products will ensure all color is removed and the cuticle is closed.
